Le terme de Atlas est une variation tel que les symphonies de l'acoustique parviennent

NUAGES ET FUMEES sont distingues sur l’atmosphère planétaire
mais dans l'atlas géographique de l'univers, la conscience de matière n'est plus la même.
l'apesanteur se détache du vide, le vide n'est pas le rien: car une sorte de vent traverse
l’immensité de la distance: LA LUMIÈRE ET SES ATOMES laisse apparaitre Le Rien ou la Nudité.

Dans un aspect laïc, il s'agit de la force, pour celui d'un religieux, il s'agit d'un obscurantisme
et pour un mathématicien, d'une salade de fruit sans sucre. Un débat houleux qui fera naitre
un cyclone engendrant mort et vie tout comme une nouvelle galaxie se mettant en place
dans cette forme d'apesanteur temporel et magnétique que représente l'UNIVERS.

La hauteur mesure l'étendue de quelque chose selon la verticale. La hauteur prend néanmoins
diverses significations suivant le domaine où elle est utilisée. la hauteur est l'angle que fait
la direction visée par rapport à l'horizontale ; c'est le complément de la distance zénithale.
La hauteur et l'azimut constituent le système de coordonnées horizontales.


La hauteur d'eau est l'amplitude atteinte par la marée à un instant donné ;
elle se détermine par un calcul de marée. Ajoutée à la sonde indiquée sur la carte marine,
elle permet de connaître la profondeur effective à cet instant (le niveau de référence des cartes marine -
zéro des cartes - étant celui des plus basses mers).
La hauteur d'un objet (récif, épave...) recouvert par la marée est comptée
également depuis le zéro des cartes et précisée sur la carte par un chiffre souligné.
la hauteur d'un amer, d'une balise, du foyer d'un phare ou du tablier d'un pont
est indiquée sur les cartes marines depuis le niveau atteint par les pleines mers de coefficient 95 d'une
APESANTEUR PLANÉTAIRE OU LUNAIRE !


La hauteur1 est la distance verticale entre un point et le sol.
À ne pas confondre avec altitude ou un niveau de vol.
L'altitude est la distance verticale entre un point et le niveau de la mer.
La hauteur et l'altitude sont donc égales au-dessus de la mer.
Le niveau de vol (ou FL = Flight level) est une surface isobare.
Il est égal à l'altitude lorsque la pression atmosphérique est de 1013 hPa
au niveau de la mer et que la température au niveau de la mer est de 15 °C.
C'est seulement dans cette condition et au-dessus de la mer que hauteur =
altitude = niveau de vol.
Ces définitions sont communes à tous ceux qui se déplacent dans l'air,
du vol long-courrier au parachutiste.


En musique, la hauteur est celui des caractères d'un son qui le place
dans un ensemble mélodique ou harmonique, et détermine en solfège
la position en hauteur de la note de musique sur la portée. La hauteur
d'un son correspond à sa fréquence exprimée en hertz :
par exemple la note de musique "La" de référence pour l'accord
des instruments de l'orchestre est aujourd'hui fixée à 440 Hz.

When his father was diagnosed with a debilitating disease four years ago,
it sparked Ivo Vieira into developing a novel means of communication f
or people coping with extreme limitations, building on technology originally
explored to help ESA astronauts in space.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – ALS – and other forms of motor neurone
disease gradually rob sufferers of their muscular function, including
the ability to communicate verbally. However, eye movement presents
an opportunity because it usually remains unimpaired.

“We had been working on augmented reality for astronauts since 2005,
so when my father was diagnosed I had the idea of exploiting it
to improve his life with a new mobile communication system,” s
aid Ivo Vieira, CEO of LusoSpace.
EyeSpeak glasses

This ESA effort led LusoSpace to produce its first pair
of augmented reality glasses in 2008 and then to set up
the LusoVu company to develop them for the disabled.

EyeSpeak glasses detect the movement of the eyes across
a virtual keyboard displayed on the inside of its lenses.
Words and phrases spelled out by the wearer are translated
by the built-in software and spoken by speakers in one arm.

The glasses can also let the user navigate the Internet,
watch videos and access emails privately, as only the user sees
what is being projected inside the lens. However, as the digital information
is overlaid on the lens, users can still see what is going on around them.

“This is the first such device that is standalone and can be used
in any location and physical position, regardless of the orientation
of the wearer’s head,” noted Teresa Nicolau, EyeSpeak specialist.
Help for astronauts

EyeSpeak is a direct spin-off from the work LusoSpace did
for an ESA study on visualisation tools for astronauts.

“At that time astronauts had only relatively rudimentary systems
available during spacewalks, with a written checklist
on their arm and voice communications with ground controllers,”
explained ESA’s João Pereira do Carmo.

“We wanted to explore the many technologies becoming
available that could be used to give them real-time,
important information directly in their field of view.”
Prototype testing

Initial technology developments were followed by a Kickstarter
campaign in 2014, which resulted in 45 EyeSpeak prototype units in 2015.
The current EyeSpeak 1, which went on sale in March 2016,
is based on a pair of Epson BT-200 AR glasses with an add-on unit
of a microphone, speakers and a tiny camera controlled
by a microprocessor unit. It comes either with a standard synthesised voice
or the owner’s voice based on previously made recordings.

Description

Earth is about to pass between the Sun and Jupiter, placing
the giant planet opposite the Sun on 7 April. This event is termed
‘opposition’ by astronomers, and takes place roughly every 13 months.
This is the length of time Earth takes to travel around the Sun relative
to Jupiter’s nearly 12 year orbit about five times further away.

At roughly the same time, Jupiter is at its closest approach to Earth,
at 666 million km, which means it appears relatively brighter and larger
than at other times of the year.

Jupiter shines more brightly than any star in the evening sky,
and is second brightest to Venus, which is currently dominant before sunrise.

Even a good pair of binoculars will reveal Jupiter as a disc
with its four largest satellites: Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.
Observe the system on different days and at different times
to see the positions of the moons change.

The opposition also affords professional and amateur astronomers
with good telescopes the chance to view the planet in greater detail than ever.

Astronomer Damian Peach captured this stunning view through
a 1 m-diameter Cassegrain telescope in Chile earlier this year,
on 25 February. It shows off Jupiter’s ‘Great Red Spot’ (centre left)
as well as the much younger ‘Red Spot Junior’ (lower right),
more formally known as Oval BA.

The spots are vast raging storms: the Great Red Spot has prevailed
for more than 300 years, and is wider than Earth.

The image also highlights Jupiter’s banded, turbulent atmosphere
that is riddled with chaotic cloud formations.

Jupiter and its large icy satellites – Europa, Ganymede and Callisto –
are the focus of ESA’s upcoming Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer mission,
Juice, which is planned for launch in 2022. It will cruise the Jovian system
for three-and-a-half years, including flybys of the moons,
as well as orbiting Jupiter and Ganymede.

Previous flybys of these moons have raised the exciting prospect
that some of them might harbour subsurface liquid oceans
and conditions suitable to support some forms of life,
and Juice will further explore this possibility.

Snow-dusted Norwegian fjords imaged
by ESA’s Earth-observing Proba-V minisatellite.

Norway’s coastline is one of the world’s longest –
with a total length recently calculated at 80 000–100 000 km –
owing to its famous fjords, narrow inlets bordered
by steep cliffs created by glacial erosion during previous Ice Ages.

After these glaciers melted and Earth’s crust rebounded,
seawater flooded the valleys, leading to some fjords becoming very deep:
the Sognefjord fjord (visible to the upper left) is 1300 m.
From bottom to top the Bokna and Hardanger fjords are also seen.
The white region in the middle is the Hardangervidda National Park,
an extensive plateau at around 1200 m altitude,
inhabited by wild reindeer.

Launched on 7 May 2013, Proba-V is a miniaturised ESA satellite
tasked with a full-scale mission: to map land cover and vegetation growth
across the entire planet every two days.

Its main camera’s continent-spanning 2250 km swath width collects
light in the blue, red, near-infrared and mid-infrared wavebands
at 300 m resolution and down to 100 m resolution in its central field of view.

VITO Remote Sensing in Belgium processes and then distributes
Proba-V data to users worldwide. An online image gallery highlights
some of the mission’s most striking images so far, including views
of storms, fires and deforestation.

by Proba-V on 14 February 2017.
